The word on my Forgotten English calendar for today is poupics. It is a mess of victuals made of veal steaks and slices of bacons. Yeah, them eats.

A couple other interesting words that I have come across in the last few days are globster and lagan. Globster, or blob, is an unidentified organic mass that washes up on the shore of an ocean or other body of water. Lagan is cargo or equipment thrown into the sea, but attached to a float or buoy so that it can be recovered. Similar to flotsam and jetsam.

I also came across Wikipedia's list of paradoxes.

The National League of Junior Cotillions has come out with its list of the 10 most best- mannered people. Do you see your name? There are also past years lists on the site. What's sort of strange about this is I see the list for 2005, but nothing more recent. Hmmm.

I've been collecting names for years, and there's a few on this list that are new to me.
